Within the Office of the Secretary (OOS), the Human Resources Operational Solutions team is looking for their newest Human Resource Operations Lead (HRC3). Under the general direction of the Human Resource Operations Manager, you’ll independently provide skilled, professional, senior-level advice and consultation to administrators, managers, supervisors, employees on a wide variety of sensitive, complex, and critical human resource issues in the areas of appointments, classification, compensation, benefits, hiring, reasonable accommodations, layoff/reversion processes, and protected leaves.

Some of what you’ll be doing:


  • As the Lead worker over a team, you’ll be providing a variety of technical and professional HR services to an assigned administration as you collaboratively develop processes/workflows and tools to ensure consistency, efficiency, accuracy and value-added service
  • Researching, interpreting and clarifying rules, regulations, policies and CBA’s
  • Providing creative, responsive, high-quality technical advice and consultation regarding specific courses of action
  • Responding timely to resolve complex or difficult issues for administrators, managers, supervisors, employees and HR Representatives
  • Conducting audits of the work performed by your team to ensure consistency, accuracy, compliance with the law, and mitigating risk for the agency.

What we are looking for:

  • HR professionals with a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field AND two years of professional human resource experience Equivalent education/experience
  • Ability to organize time and resources to achieve deadlines and goals
  • Have a working knowledge of Federal and State laws related to Human Resources
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in order to provide guidance to administrators, managers, supervisors, and employees
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working with constant interruptions
  • Ability to critically analyze problems/data, and develop viable solutions
